"Ask me questions till you have 95% clarity"
A simple sentence, added at the end leading to a conversation that not only makes the output better but also forces you to think about things that haven’t crossed your mind yet. Welcome to this week’s edition, where we talk about how much we love Claude and why.
Everyone's drowning in AI tool recommendations, but nobody's talking about what actually works in the trenches of real marketing work. As a team of curiosity driven, social media addicts - we've tried everything. The new releases & updates, the productivity promises, the "game-changing" platforms that flood LinkedIn feeds weekly and “life-changing prompts” taking over Instagram. Most of them? Pure noise.
Picking your favourite AI tool is a lot like the iPhone vs Android debate - some people need their blue bubbles and a closed ecosystem, while others want customisation and… <insert other Android benefits, can’t think of any lol>.
Both make calls, both send texts and click pictures - but the vibes are worlds apart. So when it comes to a favourite, we pick Claude.
Claude isn't just our AI assistant - it's our creative co-pilot.
🫂 our brainstorm buddy, our "what if we tried this instead" friend
🫂 our brainstorm bestie, our "yes, and..." improvisation partner
🫂 our campaign cheerleader, our "let's push this further" catalyst
Let’s be clear about this: Claude vs ChatGPT isn't even a competition for marketing work. It's like comparing a conversation with a creative director to reading a Wikipedia article out loud (wait, are people even using Wikipedia these days? Isn’t Perplexity a better option?).
The main reason we love Claude is language 💖.
When we ask ChatGPT to write brand copy, it sounds like... well, like AI wrote it. Generic, sterile, corporate-speak that could describe any company in any industry. But Claude? Claude gets nuance. It understands that a brand voice isn't just about what you say - it's about how you say it. Break a few rules, bend grammar & sentence structure in all angles with Claude to create words that hit home.
Take our work with Short Stuff. When we needed brand values, ChatGPT gave us the usual suspects: "Quality, Innovation, Customer-Centricity." Yawn. Claude understood the assignment differently. It created this beautiful consistency: "We Care, We Understand, We Deliver, We Grow…". Same structure, cohesive flow, but something which is actually memorable and closer to the brand.
Claude really shines because it's fearlessly creative with language. Need to name a new launch product? Claude will invent words that somehow make perfect sense. Need campaign names or themes that don't exist in any dictionary? Claude's your co-conspirator. ChatGPT gets nervous about grammar rules and plays it safe. Claude understands that sometimes the best marketing breaks language rules on purpose.
This isn't just about output quality - it's a thinking partnership. Claude doesn't just execute - it collaborates. And in creative work, that collaboration is everything.
Reality check: AI doesn't necessarily make you faster, but it definitely makes you better.
Anyone telling you AI will 10x your speed is selling something shady. “I generated a social media calendar in 30 seconds with this prompt” - if you are following this kind of stuff, then you’re doing AI all wrong.
The right way (at least according to us) to use these AI tools is to help remove the friction of getting started and give you direction when you're stuck. You don't need the perfect sentence to begin, just go all dear diary on it (or use voice prompts!) - spelling mistakes, half-formed thoughts, messy briefs all work here.
And then the real magic happens. Primarily in two ways: ideation and refinement.
An AI tool like Claude helps you think through problems that feel overwhelming. And then it helps you polish rough ideas into presentation-ready concepts. But that middle part – the strategic thinking, the client intuition, the creative judgment – that's still entirely yours.
And please, for the love of good marketing, don't copy-paste AI output as final work. We spend just as much time editing Claude's suggestions as we used to spend writing from scratch. The difference is we’re editing towards excellence instead of staring at a blank page wondering where to start.
Some of our favourite Claude tips:

Speaking of tools that matter - Canva has been our ride-or-die since Day 1.
If Claude is our creative chaos, Canva is our aesthetic therapy.
While everyone else was struggling with complex design software or settling for basic templates, we were creating pitch decks that looked professionally designed in a matter of days.
Google Slides is so 2010, and Microsoft Powerpoint… *chirping crickets*
Compare any presentation made in Google Slides to one crafted in Canva – there's no contest. Canva just makes everything look more intentional, more polished, more... human. And it’s a faster process overall.
If there is one thing worth investing in, it’s Canva Pro. The background remover alone has saved us hundreds of dollars in photo editing and so has the access to high quality photos & graphics (bye bye ShutterStock subscription). The brand kit feature means every client visual stays consistent. And the template library? It's not just bigger - it's actually good.
🤫 My cheap thrill - scrolling through “Canva hacks” Instagram channels late at night. There's a whole community of creators sharing advanced techniques that most people never discover. If you're not following these channels, you're missing out on features that can transform your visual content (and save you from spending on designers for basic stuff, some of which they don’t like doing anyway!).
In conclusion - honestly, the AI obsession is getting ridiculous.
Most AI tools are solutions in search of problems. They promise to revolutionize workflows that didn't need revolutionizing. They add complexity where simplicity works just fine.
The tools that actually matter don't scream about their AI capabilities - they just quietly make your work better. Claude makes our thinking sharper. Canva makes our visuals cleaner. Neither tool replaces human creativity; they amplify it.
In a world where everyone's chasing the next AI breakthrough, we've found our sweet spot: two tools that consistently deliver, integrated into workflows that actually make sense. Sometimes the best technology is the one you forget you're using.
TLDR: Stop collecting AI tools and start mastering the ones that matter (for you). Claude beats ChatGPT for creative marketing work because it thinks like a collaborator, not a search engine. Canva Pro is the best subscription investment you'll make. But remember - AI makes you better, not faster. The magic happens when you combine AI capabilities with human judgment, strategic thinking, and relentless editing. Quality over speed, always.
